Join the Alliance Strengthening Youth Sports in Salem

Salem Youth Sports Alliance brings local sport organizations together to share data, align efforts, and expand access to quality youth sports—especially for kids who need it most.

  • Youth sports are stronger when we work together. SYSA exists so organizations can share insight, learn from one another, and better understand where access gaps exist across Salem. By collaborating with schools, nonprofits, and city partners, we can create a more equitable youth sports system that reaches more kids and supports them where they need it most.

  • Alliance meetings are an easy way to get involved and connect with others who care about youth sports in Salem. These bimonthly gatherings create space to share updates, explore challenges, and learn from what’s working across programs. By showing up, your organization helps build alignment, strengthen collaboration, and shape the future of youth sports in our community.

  • State of Play Salem is a short annual survey that lets your organization contribute to a clear picture of youth sport participation across the community. By sharing your data, you help highlight gaps, uncover inequities, and inform decisions that improve access for all kids. Your input makes it possible to advocate for resources and design smarter after-school and community-based programs that truly meet local needs.

  • Alliance membership is built on active participation and shared commitment. Member organizations commit to attending meetings throughout the year and contributing data annually through State of Play Salem. These simple commitments ensure the alliance remains collaborative, informed, and focused on improving access to youth sports across our community.
